  • Betway has expanded its partnership with MIBR to now cover the MIBR Female team
  • The partnership will focus on launching various activations with MIBR’s dedicated all-women CS:GO, team
  • More opportunities for women in esports are now available, driving greater female participation in the ecosystem

MIBR and Betway have struck a new chapter in their partnership with the bookmaker now endorsing the esports organization’s all-female CS:GO roster.

Betway and MIBR Female to Work on New Opportunities

Esports bookmaker Betway continues to build on its sizable presence in esports through a new expansion deal with Brazilian esports team MIBR, a powerhouse in the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) ecosystem.

The deal will now cover MIBR Female, the organization’s women’s team, which will work closely with Betway to launch a range of initiatives and campaigns. The latest announcement follows the news that Betway and MIBR have expanded their collaboration for a fourth consecutive year

Betway has been looking to actively increase its presence in Brazilian esports, with the company launching the “Betway Squad” initiative in February. However, the new alliance marks an important stepping-stone for Betway, which has effectively signed its first female esports partnership.

Betway Esports Head Adam Savinson commented on the news, arguing that Betway was very happy to continue developing with MIBR:

“Building on our existing four-year partnership with IGC’s MIBR team, we are very happy to be able to bring in more of their talented roster into the Betway family.”

MIBR is also new to the all-women competitive side of gaming, with the organization only adding its female squad back in January but marking a nice shift away from “traditional video gaming” dominated by male counterparts.

Women Player Coming to Esports

In honesty, CS:GO has had numerous female teams so far. MIBR’s team proved themselves very quickly, winning $6,000 in the 2021 Grrrls League. The involvement of women in esports has helped mitigate some of the toxicity some game communities are known for.

There have been a number of successful female gaming initiatives in recent months, with Valorant driving much of this positive change through dedicated initiatives.

Team SoloMid and CLG Red have both signed female Valorant teams recently. Women are becoming more involved with esports, and this is good news for everyone, not least Betway. Earlier this week, F1 revealed a new Women’s Wildcard format.

From our 5 star review…

“In fact, we would argue that Bitcasino’s esports product is one of the best we have experienced. It’s simple, clear-cut, and offers a variety of products and options that other platforms are failing to deliver on.”
