  • The energy drink brand becomes the tenth sponsor of the Danish esports organization
  • Red Bull will also offer Astralis fans “all kinds of new, engaging, and fun experiences”
  • Its logo will appear across Astralis’ social media channels and on the jerseys of its players

Red Bull expands its already large footprint in the field of esports by signing a sponsorship deal with Danish esports organization Astralis.

Astralis Gains Wings with Red Bull

Energy drink brand Red Bull’s popularity is partly due to the fact the company sponsors various sports teams and athletes around the globe. Red Bull even fields its own teams in sports like football, ice hockey, Formula 1, and NASCAR. However, the company also dabbles in esports as well, with it fielding the Dota 2 roster of OG.

Building on its experience in the esports industry, RedBull has entered a multi-year collaboration with Danish esports organization Astralis. The deal will see both entities work together in various activities, including being integrated into the organization’s Astralis Nexus gaming center.

Of course, this means that Red Bull’s logo will appear across the various social media channels of the organization. Additionally, Astralis’ CS2 team will carry the logo on their jerseys at the upcoming PGL Counter-Strike 2 Major in Copenhagen, which will be held in March. The event will be the first-ever CS2 Major, following the release of the game in late 2023, and will see Astralis compete with 23 more teams from around the globe in an effort to get a slice of the $1.25 million prize pool.

What Else Will the Deal Include?

Aside from monetary support, Red Bull will offer Astralis’ fans “all kinds of new, engaging, and fun experiences,” according to a press release. There will be various activities taking place within the Astrails Nexus facility and during broadcasts on the organization’s streaming channels. Astralis also explained that it will be upgrading its gaming center, which should be ready sometime before the beginning of the summer.

For Astralis, Red Bull becomes the tenth partner of the organization. The brand joins the likes of the Danish Red Cross Youth, esports tournament platform FACEIT, and clothing brand Hummel. As mentioned before, Red Bull has quite a lot of experience in the field of esports.

The company has even been involved in organizing various esports events, such as the Campus Clutch VALORANT tournament. This is a grassroots initiative that was first hosted in 2021 and gives teams from various schools and universities opportunities to compete for prize money.

“Red Bull is one of the most interesting and captivating brands within media and entertainment, and at Astralis we are proud to enter into a collaboration of this magnitude,” Partnerships Director at Astralis Mads Rasmussen commented on the deal. “Astralis aims for the stars and Red Bull gives you wings, and we believe that the combination of the two brands will offer fans and gamers of all kinds some new, engaging, and fun experiences.”
