Polish team 9INE reveals its revamped Counter-Strike 2 roster in preparation for this year’s competitive CS2 events.

9INE Announces Rebuilt Roster

As 2024 starts rolling along, teams are preparing for the upcoming competitive events. Following this trend, Polish organization 9INE has revealed its revamped Counter-Strike 2 roster, consisting of entirely Polish players and staff. The new lineup marks a rebuild of the team which in December lost Olek “hades” Miskiewicz, Kacper “Kylar” Walukiewicz, and Krzysztof “Goofy” Górski to ENCE.

Heading the revamped roster is 28-year-old Wiktor “mynio” Kruk who is no stranger to 9INE, having been part of the organization for more than a year. During that time, he played a crucial part in the org’s qualification for the BLAST Paris Major Legends stage, IEM Cologne, and ESL Pro League Season 18 in the early part of 2023. However, mynio was benched in November after a series of disappointing results stacked. However, after two months on the bench, it seems it was deemed that he could once again lead the team.

Kamil “KEi” Pietkun also remains on the lineup. The 22-year-old player initially joined the team back in August of 2022 alongside the IGL. During his tenure with 9INE, he has shown a stable performance and currently sports a 1.06 rating.

Who Are the New Faces?

The two veterans from 9INE are joined by Miłosz “mhL” Knasiak, who will be the squad’s new AWPer. He comes from Falcons whom he represented for five months before making way for Danny “zonic” Sørensen’s new project. During his time with the organization, he scored a 1.08 rating. He also has experience playing for Endpoint and AGO.

Tomasz “tomiko” Uroda, and Kacper “KukuBambo” Szlachta are the last two players who round up 9INE’s lineup. Both come from Permitta and have ample experience playing on the Polish home scene. Tomiko, also had a loan stint at Into the Breach, where he averaged a 1.08 rating across the team’s campaigns in CCT 2023 Online Finals 5 and European Pro League Season 12. Meanwhile, KukuBambo who, at age 18 is by far the youngest player in 9INE’s current roster, sports a 1.05 rating over the past three months. His participation in the team is his chance to make it to the big scene.

The revamped roster’s debut will be at the first PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024 Europe RMR Open Qualifier, which starts today, January 8.
