  • The two replace dennyslaw and REDSTAR respectively
  • CeRq most recently played for BLEED while oxygeN comes from Entropiq

500 hope to turn their fortunes in competitive Counter-Strike 2 by replacing two of their players with CeRq and oxygeN.

New Faces Join 500

So far in 2024, 500 have had mixed fortunes on competitive CS2. Now it looks like the organization plans to improve things by making some significant roster changes. 500 have announced the signing of svetelin “CeRq” Dimitrov and Blagoi “oxygeN” Dimitrov to the roister, in hopes of turning the org’s fortunes around.

The 24-year-old CeRq comes in place of Denislav “dennyslaw” Dimitrov while oxygeN will replace Hristiyan “REDSTAR” Pironkov in the starting lineup. REDSTAR has already found his next home, having joined international project 5W, whilst 500 stated that dennyslaw is “now seeking new opportunities.”

For CeRq, this is the second organization he is playing in after he returned to competitive CS in late 2023 when he joined BLEED. That deal ended his one-year-long streak of being without an org. The player decided to take a step back from the big stage after his ill-fated stint with Evil Geniuses., which ended in late 2022.

While CeRq played in BLEED so far this year, the team saw little success. Things eventually started to improve but CeRq demonstrated a somewhat underwhelming performance. This ensured he was one of the first on the chopping block when changes had to be made. He was eventually replaced with r Tim “nawwk” Jonasson who came from Apeks.

Meanwhile, oxygeN spent most of last year playing for Entropiq alongside the likes of Tizian “tiziaN” Feldbusch. Although the team found little success, oxygeN maintained a respectable individual level, sporting a 1.04 rating. However, Entropiq’s win rate over three months dropped to around 40%, which possibly played a part in oxygeN’s departure from the organization and his eventual signing by 500.

How Has the Org Performed In 2024?

This year has so far not been very kind to the Bulgarian esports organization. While they set off 2024 on a great footing, picking up a top placing at RES Season 6 early in the year, the squad has waned since. 500 has yet to attend any in-person Counter-Strike 2 tournaments and matches since the beginning of 2024.

Furthermore, the squad struggled in online competition, even flopping several qualifiers for CCT events. This has led to a barely-viable 50% win rate in the past three months. Now that the CerQ and oxygeN have joined 500, the organization hopes to turn its fortunes around for the rest of the year.

Now, 500’s roster looks like this:

  • Georgi “SHiPZ” Grigorov
  • Aleks “Rainwaker” Petrov
  • Denis “Grashog” Hristov
  • Tsvetelin “CeRq” Dimitrov
  • Blagoi “oxygeN” Dimitrov
  • Kaloyan “POP0V” Popov (coach)
  • Ivan “Patrick” Ivanov (benched)

“In fact, we would argue that Bitcasino’s esports product is one of the best we have experienced. It’s simple, clear-cut, and offers a variety of products and options that other platforms are failing to deliver on.”
