  • Call of Duty: Vanguard’s developers have announced new big changes are coming to the game
  • They include much-awaited weapon balances
  • Sledgehammer should announce more information by the end of the week

Sledgehammer is introducing new changes for Call of Duty: Vanguard, and this includes the long-awaited rebalancing of a lot of weapons.

Big Updates Coming to Vanguard

Call of Duty: Vanguard has had many issues ever since its launch back in November 2021. From massive waves of hackers to ridiculous bugs, forcing players to stare at dogs’ butts, the game has had some bumpy few first months, to say the least. Nevertheless, its creators Sledgehammer have announced been working to iron out any kinks and recently they have announced that the first batch of changes for the new year will be coming soon.

On January 3, the developers revealed four new large changes that will be coming to the game, and fans are relieved that they will address some big issues. This is part of the changes that Activision Blizzard promised are coming to Vanguard and Warzone back in December.

What Changes Are Coming to the Game?

Some of the biggest changes are coming to the game’s weapons. One change is a rework with the Panzerfaust, which means players who want to complete Panzerfaust challenges will be able to do so much more easily.

The devs are also going to taper down the power of fire in the game with perk adjustments set to be introduced that will include some counters.

Anyone with a good amount of experience playing Vanguard will tell you that shotguns are the king of the meta. Ever since the game’s launch, players have been complaining about this problem, and Sledgehammer had promised to do something about it way back in November. It seems the developers have finally kept their promise, as the new updates will take some of the bite away from these short-range weapons while buffing the power of sniper rifles.

One other major change is coming to the Mortar Barrage killstreak. Players have said it lasts way too long, so future updates will reduce the killstreak’s duration.

These four balance changes are just the first of many, as it’s likely Sledgehammer will introduce more updates soon. Unfortunately for players, the studio has not yet decided on a specific date when the changes are going to be rolled out. Sledgehammer tweeted out to its players, thanking them for their patience and saying they should await more news later this week.

“In fact, we would argue that Bitcasino’s esports product is one of the best we have experienced. It’s simple, clear-cut, and offers a variety of products and options that other platforms are failing to deliver on.”
