  • The UK based organization announces a new team composition
  • The roster includes some returning players, as well as many newcomers
  • Despite a bumpy season this year, the young competitors are eager to prove themselves in 2022

With the Call of Duty League season incoming, the London Royal Ravens revealed their new roster, featuring a returning Afro.

The London Royal Ravens Announce Their New Roster

The 2021 season was not very kind to the UK-based organization. It went through many roster changes, introducing Parasite, PaulEhx, Zaptius, and Afro to the Call of Duty League throughout the year. However, recently the London Royal Ravens have announced their roster for the 2022 season.

The new team includes returning players Byron ‘Nastie’ Plumridge and Trei ‘Zer0’ Morris. Marcus ‘Afro’ Reid extended his contract with the organization and will be returning for the next season. The roster also includes Joey ‘Gismo’ Owen, a newcomer to the Ravens.

Michael ‘Odee’ O’Dell remains as the team’s managing director, and James ‘Dominate’ Batz will again coach the team, as he did in the 2021 season. This comes on the background of the Raven’s announcement earlier this year that they will be parting ways with their roster, except for Afro, who had an impressive 1.10 K/D, despite the team’s less than stellar performance during the season.

More about the Team’s Members

Zer0 returns to the Royal Ravens after his release in April. He was supposed to play with the New York Subliners back in 2020, however found himself watching from the sidelines, being replaced by Mack. His luck finally came when it was announced in May 2020 that he was joining the Royal Ravens in place of Jurd. Unfortunately, Zer0 had Visa issues and could not attend the Cold War season.

He played in the Call of Duty League Kickoff Classic for the Ravens, but visa problems again prevented him from playing more. Instead, Zer0 played in the 2021 Call of Duty Challengers season.

Nestie is a relatively new player, having competed in the Call of Duty Challengers Dallas Open 2020. He was part of this year’s Ravens reserve during the Modern Warfare season, but he never actually played in the CDL. He is just one of the few European Challengers players who had good placement in the last two seasons, so his coming to the main Ravens roster allows him to show what he can do against CoD veterans.

Another rookie is Gismo. He joined Team Singularity during the end of the Modern Warfare season. Because of the Covid pandemic, both Challengers and the CDL have gone online indefinitely. The organization transported its players to Dallas to complete the season. This resulted in a second-place finish in the Call of Duty Challengers North America Finals.

The Royal Ravens have assembled a very young roster, its players averaging an age of 21. They are eager to climb to the top and win their first tournament title when the next season begins.
