  • The organization parts ways with four of its players from its all-female team

  • Astralis will unveil their new players in the following weeks

Following a lackluster performance during the last eight months, Astralis decided to rebuild its roster by bringing in new Danish talents.

Astralis Fe Wil Rebuild

Astralis’ all-female team is in the middle of a huge rebuilding following the departure of four of their players, with only Aurora “?aurora?” Lyngdal and coach Søren “?zibron?” Geertsen staying with the organization. Astralis now plans to reform the team around a Danish core, whose members will be introduced in the following weeks.

For Héjja “?kezziwow?” Kászandrá, Selin “?spike?” Sinem Alak, and Yoana “?Joanana?” Vlaykova, this marks an eithg-mongth stint with the organization, which they joined in September of 2022. Meanwhile, 21-year-old Luna “?ManeschijnX?” Akkermans departs after just two months of playing for Astralis Fe.

A failure to make a big impact on the professional CS:GO scene is the most likely reason why Asatralis took such drastic measures. The team failed to qualify for ESL Impact Katowice after finishing in joint-last place in both online qualifiers. They also faced difficulties in the flagship ESL Impact League Season 3, finishing at 9-10th place.

Astralis’ rebuild comes at an inconvenient time, as the ESL Impact League Season 3 Finals in Dallas will be held from June 2-4, which means that the team would not be able to participate. However, the organization has plenty of time to prepare for the next installment of the women’s circuit, despite the dates for the event not being announced yet.

Director of Sports at Astralis Kasper Hvidt talked about the organization’s plans for the future in a recent press conference. He thanked the departing players from the name of Astralis and explained that it now plans to build a team that could compete in major tournaments and be part of a professional organization.

“We are now at a point where we can take the next step and follow the path we have set throughout our CS organization, with a mix of established and talented primarily Danish players who can develop within our organization…” Hvidt said. “The goal is to develop a team that can compete at the top level over the coming years.”

He further explained that Astralis already has a good idea of what its next steps are going to be and will share more information when things are finalized. “It will be an Astralis team that we will definitely hear much more about in the future,” Hvidt concluded.

“In fact, we would argue that Bitcasino’s esports product is one of the best we have experienced. It’s simple, clear-cut, and offers a variety of products and options that other platforms are failing to deliver on.”
