GTA VI leaks have been popping up here and there over the months, but fans now think that developers Rockstar might intentionally be teasing the game in a new GTA Online patch.
New Update Hides Intriguing Message
Grant Theft Auto V has sold more than 180 million copies ever since it was released back in September of 2013, easily making it one of the most successful games ever. However, as the game is already nearing a decade old, fans are wondering if developers Rockstar will be making a new iteration of the popular franchise.
Until such an announcement is made by the company, players still have GTA Online where they can team up to do heists or just unleash general chaos. Rockstar is always trying to keep the game fresh and recently GTA Online received a huge San Andreas Mercenaries update, which adds a ton of new content, including plenty of new male and female clothes. It is one of these items of clothing, however, that seems to have piqued players’ interest as it might contain clues to Rockstar’s next big announcement.
One of the new shirts in the game displays a series of numbers on it, which don’t look like anything special on the surface. However, the Twitter account GTANet posted a few screenshots of it and urged fans to see if there is some kind of hidden message. It turns out there is as when the letters are run through a decoder, they spell out the word “ONEDAYWILLREVEALALL”.
The message itself is plenty cryptic, speculating a large discussion in the comments below the original post. According to some players, this hints at a major GTA Online update somewhere in the future However, many others speculated and hoped that Rockstar is teasing a potential new GTA game.
A sixth main iteration of the popular franchise is not out of the question, considering it’s been almost a decade since GTA V was released. Speculation about GTA VI being in the works has been circulating around the internet for ages, with a Microsoft leak even suggesting GTA VI will release in 2024.
However, this information, which got leaked back in September of last year, is almost all that the public has ever seen of a potential new GTA game. Rockstar has been keeping very quiet about the progress state of the next iteration of the franchise. Some fans even speculated that the hidden message in the new GTA Online content is just a troll by some Rockstar employees.
With that being said, what’s left for fans is to simply wait and see if new announcements or leaks might confirm a potential release for GTA VI.
