  • Apex Legends developers introduced the Harbingers Collection Event earlier this week
  • Unfortunately, it has come with one major bug that stops players from progressing
  • The devs are taking care of it and making it easier to make up for the time players lost

A bug with Apex’s Harbingers Angels badge has been hindering players from progressing further into the game’s latest collection event.

Devs Respond to Bug Reports

Apex Legends is famous for its collection events each season, in which players can earn a number of cosmetic items and other goodies. Unfortunately, these updates and patches can sometimes come with problems that the devs did not expect, leading to thousands of players being frustrated as they try to progress through the event.

Such seems to be the case with Apex’s latest collection event, called Harbingers, which was released earlier this week. You can learn more about what you can get in the Harbingers Collection Event here, but the short story is that it adds a ton of new skins and other cosmetics that have an almost 90s Power Rangers villain aesthetic mixed with a load of power metal.

The collection event has proven very popular among fans, but one particular bug has frustrated many. Players have reported being unable to progress the Harbingers Angel badge. In order to get it, fans need to deal 1000 damage with the Revenant shell, something that proved to not be possible, as the event was not tracking any progress towards the goal.

After many fans reported this, the developers finally responded, saying they would quickly add a hotfix to the game. Fortunately for fans, the devs also decided to make the actual step in the event easier, as they will be lowering the damage requirement from 1 000 to 500. This should compensate players for the time they’ve already wasted trying to get the badge without recording their efforts.

This decision makes even more sense when one considers that the Harbingers Angel badge is one of the free rewards, therefore acquiring it should not be as difficult. Of course, this is not the only prize players will get if they go through the event. Perhaps the most coveted reward is Fuse’s Heirloom. Called the Razor’s Edge, the character, who has been around since season 8, finally gets his own heirloom.

The Harbingers Collection Event will continue until October 3rd, so make sure to start playing it if you’re interested in what it has to offer.
