MSI Starts Partnership
We are in the midst of the PUBG Global Championship – the final event and the World Championship of the 2023 Competitive Season. The tournament sees dozens of teams from all around the globe duke it out in Thailand’s capital, Bangkok, for a chance to win glory and a piece of the $2 million prize pool. With broadcasting provided globally in many languages, it’s expected that the PUBG Global Championship will be the game’s most viewed event of the year, expected to top the recent PUBG Nations Cup which amassed 231k peak viewers.
Of course, such a big event needs a lot of equipment and sponsors which provide it, so this is where the likes of MSI come in. The technology corporation recently announced a partnership with the 2023 PUBG Global Championship (PGC) which will see MSI provide equipment and create in-person activations.
The collaboration will see MSI provide 80 high-end gaming PCs and 160 gaming monitors for the tournament’s competitors, as well as gaming laptops for commentary and live broadcasting staff. The company will also have a booth at the event which features the brand’s latest gaming equipment and technologies. All of this, the company claims, is to provide fans with an “immersive gaming experience” at the event.
MSI’s choice of partner should come as no surprise to anyone, as PUBG, especially its mobile version, has developed into a thriving ecosystem, especially in parts of Asia. In fact, a new Battlegrounds Mobile India tournament was recently announced, with it being one of the largest events that Krafton have ever hosted.
“As a global leading brand in gaming, MSI’s cutting-edge gaming equipment will inject more energy into this event. Being the official gaming partner of PGC is a recognition of our strength in the gaming industry and a commitment to promoting gaming culture,” said Sam Chern, MSI Marketing Vice President. “The PGC 2023 is about to begin, and with the collaboration between MSI and KRAFTON, we are confident in delivering an unforgettable gaming experience for players around the world.”
