  • The team won with an impressive 16-10
  • Two of its young players had amazing K/D
  • OG is still in the tournament after defeating Illuminar Gaming

MOUZ’s young stars xertioN and torzsi were instrumental in the team winning against OG in the first match of the IEM Rio Major Europe RMR.

MOUZ Emerges Victorious

The IEM Rio Major Europe Regional Major Ranking (RMR) B is in full swing and we have already seen some amazing and unexpected plays from some teams. One of these comes from MOUZ’s young roster. The team marked a solid 16-10 victory against OG at the RMR’s opener, in large part thanks to its young players Dorian “xertioN” Berman and Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás.

With a 25-15 K/D and a 21-11 K/D respectively, the two former academy players played a crucial role in MOUZ’s victory. They were instrumental in MOUZ’s performance and helped the team move to the 1-0 pool of the tournament’s Swiss system.

What’s more impressive is that xertioN and torzsi made the game hell for the more experienced OG members, including rifler Adam “NEOFRAG” Zouhar and in-game leader Nemanja “nexa” Isaković. They both struggled during the match, scoring just eight and seven kills, respectively, across 26 rounds.

This victory marks yet another impressive performance from MOUZ who have been on the roll since IEM Cologne in July. It even seems that the team’s game has become even better when the organization added xertioN to the main squad in place of Aurimas “Bymas” Pipiras during the player break. MOUZ’s other recent great performance was at the ESL Pro League season 16, where the team suffered just two losses – one against Astralis, and another against Team Liquid in the playoffs.

On the other hand, MOUZ’s opponents, OG, should not suffer too much after this loss. Their most recent match against Illuminar Gaming’s all-Polish roster is evidence enough for that as OG dominated their opponent 16-5, cementing their continuing stay in the RMR.

OG’s result can be attributed to the organization’s strict training regimen implemented after the team failed to qualify for the PGL Antwerp Major earlier this year. Additionally, the signing of Russian star AWPer Abdulkhalik “degster” Gasanov during the player break also played a crucial role in OG’s most recent victory.

The IEM Rio Major Europe Regional Major Ranking (RMR) B end in just a few days, but Rio will host yet another big CS:GO tournament – the IEM Rio CS:GO Major. It starts on October 31 and will feature a prize pool of $1.25 million.
