The MSC Tournament Back after Missing in 2020
A new iteration of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup has been announced for this year. It will take place from June 7 to June 13 and will feature 12 teams in a struggle for $150,000 in prizes.
The tournament will take place online to avoid getting canceled like last year’s. In 2020 the MSC didn’t take place because of the raging COVID-19 pandemic. This year the safety of the participants will be prioritized as the Moonton, the game’s developer studio, has promised it will work with the teams and associations to ensure they would be competing from a safe venue. It will be the first time the MSC happens online.
The tournament format will happen in two stages with an additional playoffs stage and a grand final in the end. The stages will take place on the following dates:
- Group stage 1: June 8
- Group stage 2: June 9
- Playoffs: June 11 – June 13
- Grand finals: June 13
The twelve participating teams haven’t been fully revealed yet but will be from all across Southeast Asia: Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Laos, Thailand and the Philippines.
Moonton promised that fans will be seeing retired elite MLBB players return as guests during the event. In celebration of the upcoming event, some time-limited skins will be available from the end of May until the tournament’s end in June.
