As Pokémon fans eagerly wait for the reworks of the beloved Diamond and Pearl generation, Nintendo has announced a limited edition Switch to go with them.
A New Limited Edition Switch Lite With a High Collectible Value
Diamond and Pearl, one of the most influential generations of Pokémon games, will soon be getting its rework for Nintendo Switch. The games’ new versions will go by the names Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl and are set to go live on November 19. Their release will be accompanied by a special new promotional limited edition Nintendo Switch Lite device, featuring Dialga and Palkia.
The new version of the console was announced on August 18. The promotional device will be all-black and will feature images of the two creatures on the backside.
Dialga and Palkia are the flagship legendary Pokémon of the two respective games, making the news exciting for fans of the franchise. It will be an awesome grab for people who are yet to own a Switch and want to play Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl or for passionate Pokémon collectors.
The new console is a throwback to the special edition of the Nintendo DS Lite that had launched in August 2008 for the Diamond and Pearl Games. The device had the same jet black color with a gold image of Palkia and a silver image of Dialga.
Sadly, the special edition of the Switch will include only the Switch Lite and not the usual Nintendo Switch console.
Getting the New Switch Lite
Those who are interested in getting their hands on the valuable promotional device will have to wait until November 5 when it releases – two weeks before the release of the reworked games.
However passionate Pokémon enthusiasts don’t have to wait until then to order one – the device will probably soon open to pre-orders on the game’s official website. Fans can already pre-order a copy of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond, Pokémon Shining Pearl, or a double pack containing both. On the very same page, there is an image of the new console, suggesting it will also be on sale early.
Fans can stay tuned to see when Nintendo decides to release more news. This will likely be in the near future as the console is set to release earlier than the games.
