- Riot is targeting the top lane by nerfing a lot of off-meta champions
- The jungle will also see changes after much demand from the player base
- Yuumi will finally receive her much-anticipated rework
Testing for League of Legends’ Patch 13.5 has already begun, allowing fans to have a sneak peek at what the game’s next update will bring to the table.
Top Lenares Are up for Buffs
It’s not been long since the last League of Legends patch, but Riot Games has already made Patch 13.5 available on the PBE servers, which offers a sneak peek of what players can expect next week. It seems that the company has decided to target the top lane hard, as Riot is preparing buffs for the off-meta top laners Kennen, Aatrox, Tryndamere, and Rumble. The last two in particular might benefit the most from the changes, allowing them to return to the meta.
Kennen will receive a buff to his Q, which will now have more basic damage as well as a higher converter of ability power. The skill will also have a lower cooldown. Meanwhile, his E will have increased damage against minions, improving the champion’s laning phase and potentially making him a more capable character in teamfights.
Meanwhile, Aatrox will receive minor buffs to his W and ultimate, also potentially making him quite strong in teamfights. Speaking of minor buffs, Tyndamere and Rumble will get even smaller ones to their base stats and E, respectively. In addition to the four top laners, four more champions will be receiving several buffs – LeBlanc, Fizz, Jinx, Samira, and Qiyana.
What Else Is Coming with Patch 13.5?
Riot is also bringing some jungle changes to Patch 13.5. The previous patch saw Riot make a to of jungle changes which were not met with excitement by the player base. Many players and content creators were unhappy with Patch 13.4, including Tyler1 who critiqued Riot’s jungle changes live on stream.
Riot also plans to roll out the much-anticipated Yuumi rework. The champion has been the bane of many players for a long time so much so that they continually requested Riot to rework the character. The company responded by nerfing the champion, but players were dissatisfied with the Yuumi changes from Patch 13.1B. This prompted many to say she needs a rework and it seems Riot is finally rolling it out with Patch 13.5.
The abilities that are about to change the most are her Q and her Ultimate. Yuumi’s Q will no longer be rooting enemies but will slow them down instead. Players will now also be able to change the Ultimate’s direction via mouse clicks. All in all, it seems like League’s new update will have meta-changing effects and much-anticipated reworks.
