League of Legend fans rejoice as Riot Games has released the schedule for this year’s Mid-Seasonal Invitational event.
Riot Announced MSI Schedule
Every League of Legends competitive season has a Mid-Season Invitational event, or MSI, to keep the hype going. This year’s MSI is just around the corner, and LoL’s developer Riot Games has just released its schedule. This is one of the two international events that give fans a look at how teams from each region are doing before the big dance at Worlds.
This year’s MSI starts on May 10 and will be hosted in Busan, South Korea. Spanning a whopping six days, the event will see many of the world’s best teams – from old established organizations, to up-and-coming rosters – compete for glory on Summoner’s Rift. Eleven teams from across the globe will participate, with the opening match being between T1 and Saigon Buffalo. Interestingly, the latter has one of the youngest rosters with only one player on the starting lineup over the age of 19.
The tournament will also see the return of legends like G2 Esports, as well as reigning champions RNG, who will have to play remotely from Shanghai, as a consequence of a Covid-19 wave hitting the LPL region.
The 2022 MSI will be split into three sections until there is only one team left standing as the champion. Teams will be competing for a prize pool of $250,000.

The tournament will be jam-packed with exciting games, which fans can watch on Riot Game’s official Twitch channel. The next stage of the event is the Rumble stage, starting on May 18, with Riot to announce its schedule in the coming days.
