  • Riot Games will be expanding its League+ to Riot Mobile
  • Riot Mobile will feature all of the company’s games, instead of being focused on League of Legends
  • The renewed application will become available on October 4

League+ will become Riot Mobile, following Riot Games’ intentions to expand its universe and to keep fans updated on all of its games.

League+ Rebrands as Riot Mobile Starting October

Riot Games will be reworking its original League of Legends support app called League+. The newer version will be called Riot Mobile and will cover not only LoL but all of Riot’s titles. The changes will go live on October 4 this year.

Fans that already have League+ downloaded will have it upgraded to Riot Mobile automatically. The reworked app will feature news, esports news, updates, match history, and more for League of Legends, LoL: Wild Rift, VALORANT, Team Fight Tactics, and Legends of Runeterra. The application will be a perfect successor to League+ and will provide fans with a convenient Riot-related helper in the back of their pockets.

Riot Mobile, however, will not be simply an extended version of League+. The app will now offer new features such as player profiles, cross-game/cross-region chat, and new social features. Riot Mobile will have a highly customizable news feed that only shows content from titles the user is interested in.

Expanding the Fictional Universe

Riot’s goals are to take the original League+ intentions of “creating an experience for players that make it easy to discover new content and activities to engage with, and stay informed about events” and expand it to all their titles.

League+ was originally introduced in 2019 as a League of Legends companion app. It focused solely on the renowned MOBA and its competitive scene. Now that Riot’s mobile titles are enjoying an impressive success and the company expanding its fictional universe with additional games, events, and series set in the same world, there is much merit in creating a singular universal platform that allows fans to learn everything that might interest them.

Although VALORANT is the sole game of the bunch that is set in a different universe, it will still be included in the app as it has gained a big following and has proven itself as an esports-suitable title.

Ardent Riot fans that can’t wait can download League+ in preparation if they haven’t got it already. Once the October 4 update rolls up, their League+ will be automatically updated to Riot Mobile.

From our 5 star review…

“In fact, we would argue that Bitcasino’s esports product is one of the best we have experienced. It’s simple, clear-cut, and offers a variety of products and options that other platforms are failing to deliver on.”
