  • Poppy’s ult’s knock-up should last a full second, but instead, it lasts just 0.65 seconds
  • A player said they have told Riot this four times already but haven’t received a response
  • Other fans point out more problems and bugs with Poppy

Poppy’s ultimate has been suffering from a bug that severely hampers its viability and Riot still hasn’t fixed the issue eight months after it was discovered.

Player Points Out Poppy’s Bug

Balancing out a game can be a challenging job that often leads to issues and bugs being overlooked by game developers. In those cases, fans are often the ones who remind the studio to address the present issues. Riot games and the League of Legends community are no exception to that rule and recently Poppy mains have raised their voices for the company to address a severe issue with the champion.

The Keeper of the Hammer seems to have a severe bug with her ultimate. On December 19, Reddit user Klasiek posted on the League of Legends subreddit a video to demonstrate what the issue is. The champion’s ultimate, Keeper’s Verdict, should normally have a knock-up of at least one second. Instead, the original poster’s demonstration shows that Poppy’s ult lasts for around 0.65 seconds when it’s not charged.

The clip shows the player testing the ability on a few champions, showcasing they were only knocked up for between 0.6 and 0.7 seconds. The player pointed out that according to the Patch 12.8 notes from April 27, the effect should last a full second, as its duration had been increased from 0.75 seconds to one second.

Riot Hasn’t Addressed the Issue

Considering the bug has apparently been present for eight months, Riot has still not addressed it. The poster also said that it takes exactly one second for Poppy’s Q to detonate to deal the second part of the damage. Because of this, it’s almost impossible to pull off a perfect Poppy combo in solo skirmishes, which negatively impacts the gameplay of Poppy mains.

Apparently, this is not the first time Klasiek has pointed out the issue. They have reported this issue to Riot a total of four times, but they still haven’t received a response. It also seems this is not the only bug the champion is suffering from. Other players commented on the subreddit pointing out a number of other Poppy bugs. One of them claims the hitbox on her Keeper’s Verdict is “inconsistent,” and the bugs make it unfun to play the champion.

Since Patch 12.16, which nerfed Poppy’s Hammer Shock (Q), the champion hasn’t received any changes and we will have to wait and see if Riot is going to finally address the current issues.
