Yet another League of Legends esports roster update as MAD Lions has officially lain off Matyáš “Carzzy” Orság.
Carzzy Leaves MAD Lions’ Ranks
On November 15, the Spanish esports organization MAD Lions announced that the Czech bot laner Matyáš “Carzzy” Orság will be leaving the League of Legends roster. It was now officially confirmed that Carzzy will no longer be affiliated with the team in any way.
Carzzy first joined MAD Lions in 2019 when he was still 17 years old. Although young, the Czech bottom lane player proved to be more than capable. His stay in MAD Lions saw the organization climb up the ranks. In 2021, MAD Lions won first place in not one but two League of Legends European Championship playoffs.
In 2020 MAD Lions qualified for the World Championship, but had an unexciting performance, ending in 19-20 place. However, the team buckled up and qualified for Worlds once again in 2021, this time reaching the respectable 5-8 place.
As a whole, the past two years have seen MAD Lions rise as one of the most prominent League of Legends esports teams in Europe, challenging the might of older teams who had dominated the region for years.
Industry Specialists Are Already Predicting Where Carzzy Will Go
Although neither MAD Lions, nor Carzzy have announced their plans, esports fans and industry analysts are closely following the developments and have already predicted what will likely happen.
According to sources of the esports news outlet Dot Esports, MAD Lions are eyeing a contract with William “UNF0RGIVEN” Nieminen, a Swedish bottom lane player, currently playing for the esports organization SK Gaming Prime, the academy team of SK Gaming. If UNF0RGIVEN truly joins MAD Lions, this will be his first time on the European professional League of Legends scene.
The report continues that Carzzy will become a part of the new Team Vitality team that is ambitious of gathering the best players in the regional competitive scene. The team currently sports some notable professionals such as jungler player Oskar “Selfmade”Boderek and support player Labros “Labrov” Papoutsakis.
Regardless of whether the reports are correct or not, Carzzy is a young and capable player with a bright future ahead of him.
