- Team Vitality performed poorly in LEC 2021 but is posted as the favorite on Thursday
- MAD Lions managed to win the Summer Playoffs in 2021 and finished #3 in the Summer Split
- We suggest exploring betting selections involving MAD Lions despite Team Vitality’s better odds
The League of Legends European Championship or LEC is perhaps one of the most balanced events out there, and as such, it pulls a lot of clout with esports bettors. The upcoming series between Vitality and MAD Lions on Thursday, January 14, promises another action-packed day of League of Legends.
Both teams have a lot to offer, although the Lions underwent some roster rejuggling which deprived them of two vital players as it were. Vitality, on the other hand, has been able to pull to the top of the power rankings, at least at the beginning of the LEC season and we are looking forward to seeing whether they can truly deliver.
The odds have Vitality as the favorites here at slight odds advantage, which is important for their further realization in the LEC. MAD Lions, however, won’t be giving up the gun easily.
LEC: Vitality vs MAD Lions Odds – January 12, 2022
- Team Vitality to win (1.55)
- MAD Lions to win (2.18)
Where to Watch Vitality vs MAD Lions
Vitality Preview (Jan 14, 2022)
Team Vitality have transformed themselves from a bottom-tier LEC squad to an absolute favorite heading into the 2022 Spring Split. The transformation was carried out on both a player and managerial level, and it has paid off, at least on paper.
The team is supported by returning Alphari and Perkz, both of whom are looking strong, and the Crazzy and Labrov pair playing bottom lane is another reason why Vitality is heading in as the favorites for their Thursday game.
While Vitality’s 2021 run was fairly unimpressive, with the team ending #6 in both the 2021 Summer Split and Summer Playoffs, they seem to have improved and are prepared to do well on Thursday.
MAD Lions Preview (Jan 14, 2022)
MAD Lions are at an understandable disadvantage if only for the fact that Crazzy is now playing for their opponent, and that the team lost Humanoid in the last rejuggling of rosters in the LEC. These two developments put the Lions in a corner from which they will have to fight out of.
They did win the LEC 2021 Summer Playoffs, though, pulling well ahead of Vitality and they finished #3 in the Summer Split in 2021. Overall, the team is looking very strong, but the fears are that newly-added UNF0RGIVEN and Reeker may actually need some getting used to the new team before they can perform.
What bet you place will boil down to how you feel about MAD Lions’ ability to think on their feet. Vitality winning here after they performed middlingly in the 2021 season is a bit of a stretch. So, perhaps we should explore some options involving MAD Lions instead.
