Liiv SANDBOX Preview (Jan 21, 2022)
Liiv SANDBOX have lost two games and won two games, putting them #5 in the overall standing. The team is (1-1) in terms of series having suffered a surprise upset defeat to Nongshim RedForce which we successfully predicted would happen, as a matter of fact. The team did sweep DRX 2-0, without finding it too hard to seal both games in under 25 minutes.
Nevermind RedForce’s sudden breaking into the competitive scene, SANDBOX is poised to go big this LCK. They have inched slightly in the power rankings, but their greatest challenges lie ahead. Overcoming Freecs, which we feel comfortable about, would be a leg-up the team needs to show what they are capable of.
As an inherent strength, SANDBOX is playing the long game, investing meticulously in a big crop of talented players who are flexible and incredibly talented, allowing SANDBOX to adapt to any strategy that is thrown at it. Clozer is still one of the best mid laners in the LCK and we believe he will be able to build up sufficient momentum. Freecs game has suffered of late and we don’t see them recovering any time soon.
Freecs Preview (Jan 21, 2022)
Freecs have not had much of a luck of the draw. They had to play against KT Rolster and T1 and both teams are ranked in the higher tier. This gave them sufficient time to hone their skills in the opening games of the league and quickly see where their weaknesses lied. They suffered a total of four game losses and are currently ranked #9. We believe that the game versus SANDBOX will be what would decide the team’s fate in the rest of the series. We understand why Freecs are given close odds here, but we doubt that they would be able to convert them into a win. However, Freecs might be able to pry away a single win. Here are our picks:
