- Both Hanwha Life and Freecs have had many problems with their LCK run so far
- HLE are posted as the underdogs for this game but we see them outperforming Freecs
- We recommend going with HLE to win and correct score of 2-0
The LCK Spring Split has been going for a while now and there are some teams that have had it rough. Hanwha Life and Kwangdong Freecs are two of those teams that have found it hard to push past a middling performance. Right now, they are both relegated to the very bottom of the pecking order.
And yet, there are some interesting bets to make on these teams. Both Hanwha and Freecs have about 25% win rate so far, but we figured that the upcoming game on Thursday, Friday 17 is an excellent opportunity to place a worthwhile wager. Let’s take a look.
Hanwha Life vs Kwangdong Freecs Odds (February 17, 2022)

Kwangdong Freecs Betting Preview (Feb 17, 2022)
The Freecs are posted as the favorites here and we sort of understand why. However, the team has not been in a great shape and this shows in their current standings. They are currently at the very bottom of the pecking order and this is not a position that projects strengths.
Yet, they are given better odds. Overall, Freecs and Hanwha have the same win rate, but when you take a closer look at their overall performance, the Freecs have done worse so far into the LCK. They have only won two out of six series and they have lost 12 out of 16 total games played.
This means that the team has a lot to work through. After it came under the Kwangdong banner, things have been going slowly for them, with the roster just not finding the necessary skill to do better. They did take out NS in Week 4 and are coming out of a single victory which is not bad, but it’s not something that will spell a win for them on Thursday.
Hanwha Life Betting Preview (Feb 17, 2022)
What about Hanwha Life? Hanwha are higher up the pecking order and they are given the longer odds, which is perfect for us as we do want to bet on a great selection that will provide us with the opportunity to extract better value for our money.
Hanwha also notably took a single win against T1 in Week 4. The team did fairly well in that game and almost caught the undefeated LCK champions off their guard. T1 managed to rally and shut down HLE’s offensive in the series.
The fact, though, that HLE are capable of taking up on some of the toughest opponents in the LCK indicates to us that the odds of 2.01 are a gross underestimate and they are a valuable betting opportunity. For this reason, we are going to back HLE for this one.
