  • Fredit BRION have performed much better than expected in the LCK Spring Split
  • They will be facing Gen.G on Thursday in an impossible-to-win scenario
  • Still, Fredit may have what it takes to inflict a single loss against Gen.G

Fredit BRION will be facing off Gen.G on Thursday, January 20. The game seems to be a little one-sided judging by the current odds, but we still believe that it will be worth tuning in to watch, and perhaps even bet on. Fredit BRION have had a bit of a tough luck so far, but they are still doing fairly well, as #3 in the LCK Spring Split.

Whether they can overcome the long odds of (4.84) is another matter altogether. The good news is that Gen.G may still lose a single game in the series, even though they are listed at (1.11). Let’s take a look at the teams and what they bring to the table.

Fredit BRION vs Gen.G Odds – January 20, 2022

  • Fredit BRION to win (4.84)
  • Gen.G to win (1.11)

Fredit BRION Preview (Jan 20, 2022)

Fredit BRION have had a somewhat tough run in the LCK Spring Split. The team has faced off fairly good teams so far, with T1 defeating them in a contested 2-0 series. Then again, Fredit’s roster managed to overcome Hanwha Life without much of a struggle, although the series did go the distance.

Fredit’s main argument against their team is that they have retained their core from the 2021 season. The team behind last year’s performance isn’t exactly the best compilation of players you can have in the LCK even on a budget, but it’s good the organization is willing to give them another chance.

If anything, we can see that Fredit are slowly climbing up the Power Rankings as well. Their loss to T1 wasn’t really that bad. Even though they didn’t win a single game against T1 they didn’t make their opponent’s job any easier. Sure, they should probably not have lost a game against Hanwha, but we still think Fredit can throw an interesting spanner in the works.

Gen.G Preview (Jan 20, 2022)

We predicted that Gen.G will be topping the food chain this season even when many colleagues would tell you that T1 is probably going to inch them out. Well, this has not happened (yet) and Gen.G are making very good use of their roster.

So far, Gen.G has swept all their opponents in the LCK Spring, winning both their games against DRX and Damwon. DWG KIA was at Gen.G’s throat on Sunday, and they did pry away a single victory which for a moment had us excited there, but Gen.G sealed the deal and dashed all hopes.

They are looking incredibly strong in this upcoming game and that is understandable. As the #1 team, they have not shown any sign of slow down. So, the question here is not whether Gen.G will secure the series but whether we can see Fredit pry away a single victory? If they have learned their lesson from the game against T1, this might be just possible.
