  • Rodrigo “Onur” Dalmagro, the previous head coach of KRU Esports, is an opponent of the vaccine passports
  • His stance allegedly got him into a fight with the security at a VCT event
  • Disagreement with Onur’s opinions led LOUD to refuse to take him in as a coach

Rodrigo “Onur” Dalmagro, the former coach of KRU Esports, got into a fight with a VCT event security, according to rumors.

Onur Is Okay With Vaccines but Not With Vaccine Passports

A lone coach’s stand against vaccine passports allegedly got him into a fight with the security of a VALORANT event.

COVID-19 has been one of the most discussed topics in the past two years. And for a good reason – the virus spread like a wildfire and quickly claimed many lives. As people feared the worst befalling their families, many formed various opinions on the virus. Governments, companies, event organizers, and the like, all took various approaches in order to best cater to their demographics while trying their hard to keep them safe. Yet, not everyone was content by the decisions of the higher-ups.

Rodrigo “Onur” Dalmagro, the former head coach of the esports organization KRU Esports, is one such person. Although Onur says that he is not against vaccines as a concept, he is opposed to the idea of vaccine passports. So much so, that he is willing to lose his job for his ideals, in his own words.

Onur Fought With a VCT Event Security

MitchMan, a prominent VALORANT podcaster, spoke about a situation that allegedly occurred. He warned that he wasn’t present at the happening and that viewers should take the news with a grain of salt. Still, here is what he had heard:

Apparently, Onur disagreed to be isolated during an isolation period at the 2021 Valorant Champions Tour in Berlin. Opposed to the vaccine passports, the coach tried to fight his way out and got into a quarrel with the security.

There hasn’t been any official report of this and while the story does correspond to some of the more recent events, it may very well be exaggerated.

As for Onur, he left KRU on December 15, 2021, when his contract expired. After leaving the team, the coach approached another esports organization, LOUD, offering to teach its team. However, LOUD eventually backed down on the negotiations because of the vaccine controversy, anxious that Onur might undermine the team’s image.

This alleged happening illustrates how much the pandemic has impacted society and how heavily it has fragmented people by their opinions.
