Intending to boost the company’s performance, Krafton’s CEO Changhan Kim appoints four new elite members to the board of directors.
Krafton’s Four New Directors
Krafton, the South Korean company behind PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds’ publishing, has expanded its board of directors by four people, all of whom veterans in the industry. This move is a part of Krafton’s CEO Changhan Kim to bring together elites and strengthen Krafton’s core.
Among the four new directors will be none other than Kevin Lin, Twitch’s co-founder and ex-chief operating officer. Lin will be accompanied by Chung-Ang University professor Eunjung Yeo, Procter and Gamble China’s senior vice president Suekyung Lee and CEO of the feminine wellness company Rael, Yanghee Paik.
Lin’s experience with Twitch will greatly benefit the video game holding company. The co-founder of the streaming service has deep knowledge of the gaming market, which Krafton specializes in. Yeo, Lee, and Paik will reinforce that with their understanding of business, administration, and marketing
With this strong lineup, it’s clear that Krafton is indeed on the way to creating a powerful board of directors to properly manage its future. Kim plans to aggressively expand Krafton globally with an emphasis on game development, investments, and expansion.
The Company’s Other Goals
Krafton also plans to apply for an initial public offering by the end of the month and try to grow its stock prices, industry analyst Daniel Ahmad shared.
Moreover, the company is currently working on the next installment in the PlayerUnknown’s Battleground series – PUBG: New State. The beloved franchise’s addition will be set in the same universe but in a more futuristic setting. It was recently announced as PUBG: Mobile hit a billion downloads.
Krafton is also working with the development of a survival game called The Callisto Protocol.
