- The organization parted ways with Rascal, Aria, Life, and GIDEON
- Bdd returns to KT after his short stint with the organization in 2019
- Mid laner Lee “VicLa” Dae-kwang might also be leaving KT
Following a very disappointing competitive year in the LCK, KT Rolster is making a bold move forward by releasing four of its players to make room for Kiin and Bdd.
KT Rolster Is Rebuilding
Like many other organizations during the League of Legends between-seasonal break, KT Rolster is also eager to restructure its team. The organization recently parted ways with the majority of its members, in order to make way for the newly signed top laner Kim “Kiin” Gi-in and mid laner Gwak “Bdd” Bo-seong.
Both players join KT immediately after the end of their contracts with their previous respective teams. The two 23-year-olds didn’t have a great season in their old rosters. Kiin previously played for Kwangdong Freecs, but the team’s best achievement this season was a fourth-place finish at the LCK 2022 Spring Playoffs.
Bdd’s year was much worse, with his previous team, Nongshim RedForce, barely even making a blip on the LCK’s radar. The new contract with KT marks Bdd’ return to the team after the brief stint he had during the 2019 season. Now, both players are starting a new with KT Rolster.
With the addition of both new players and the release of top laner Kim “Rascal” Kwang-hee, mid laner Lee “Aria” Ga-eul, support Kim “Life” Jeong-min, and support Kim “GIDEON” Min-seong, KT hopes it has turned a new page. The only remaining players from KT’s previous roster are jungler Moon “Cuzz” Woo-chan, mid laner Lee “VicLa” Dae-kwang, and bot laner Kim “Aiming” Ha-ram.
Although Cuzz and Aiming will be staying with the organization for the 2023 competitive League season, there are rumors that might not be the case for VicLa. According to journalist Travis Gafford, the 18-year-old player is going to join the North American team FlyQuest.
KT Rolster has quickly managed to rebuild its team, risking a lot by releasing so many players all at once. Despite that, the organization has already filled up almost all of the five positions, with only the support role remaining empty. There are, however, no rumors that might suggest whom KT is looking towards if they already have their eyes on a new player.
KT Rolster is not the only team in the LCK to make bold steps for the next competitive League season. Recently, Fredit BRION also released four players all at once, leaving just one member of its previous roster remaining.
