Jamie “keita” Hall will have the responsible task of guiding Fnatic to victory as the organization’s new coach. 

Fnatic Secures a New Coach With Profound Experience

Britain-based esports organization Fnatic will be hiring Jamie “keita” Hall as its new Counter-Strike: Global Offensive coach. This was officially announced earlier on the organization’s Twitter page.

The organization shared that what inspired them to add keita was his passion for esports coaching.

“The immediate impression we gathered from him was not only impressive coaching abilities but furthermore his passion and dedication for the role itself,” Fnatic’s manager Andreas Samuelsson explained.

Before joining Fnatic, keita played with Complexity Gaming. He left their lineup just a few weeks ago in July. The new coach has years of experience in coaching teams, especially international ones.

For years now Fnatic had sported a Swedish-only team, working by the philosophy that a team comprised of one nationality can have better communication. However as times changed and esports became more and more global, Fnatic also saw the need to change. Other than keita, who is of British origin, the organization has added two other British players to its CS:GO roster: William “Mezii” Merriman and Alex “ALEX” McMeekin.

It will be the perfect opportunity for keita to showcase his coaching savvy.

Samuelsson Details Fnatic’s Vision

Andreas Samuelsson spoke about the team’s current restructuring. He said that Fnatic’s first step towards modernizing the organization was the relaunch of the academy team. Then the organization proceeded to add new players of different nationalities to its main lineup in order to create a more cosmopolitan team. Lastly, a new coach was needed to guide the new team. Samuelsson believes keita is the perfect answer to Fnatic’s needs.

Samuelsson was formerly a coach and has surely evaluated keita well before hiring him officially. However, despite moving from the coaching position, Samuelsson will still practice with the team from time to time.

Fnatic’s current roster will be comprised of the following members:

  • Alex “ALEX” McMeekin
  • Freddy “KRIMZ” Johansson
  • Jack “Jackinho” Ström Mattsson
  • Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin
  • William “Mezii” Merriman

Keita will not have much time to train the lineup however as its first scheduled game will be against Natus Vincere during the ESL Pro League’s 14th season which starts in five days.
