Kristina “K1KA” Dukic has passed away, her loved ones shared on Instagram. As she possibly took her own life, her relatives urged people with depression to reach out.

K1KA Has Passed Away

Kristina “K1KA” Dukic, a prominent video game streamer, popular for her Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and League of Legends content, has sadly passed away at the age of 21. The announcement was made by K1KA’s relatives who shared the unfortunate news with her fanbase on her official Instagram account.

Here is what the heartbroken relatives had to say, quote:

“With great sorrow unfortunately we need to announce that our dear friend and angel passed away this evening [Dec. 8, 2021]. We would like to extend our condolences to her friends, family, and fans. This will be a hard time for us all and all we can do is keep her memory alive. We love you Kika and miss you more than words can explain.”

Although K1Ka’s cause of death was never officially mentioned, the message continues with one more line, urging all the people who are having suicidal thoughts and/or suffering from depression to speak to someone and seek help.

“You are not alone,” the message ends.

K1KA’s Career as an Athlete and a Streamer

It isn’t uncommon for professional gamers to feel burnt out and suffer from depression. It is possible that this was also the case for K1KA. The COVID-19 quarantine has really limited people’s social interactions, leading to many people developing some kind of anxiety. Even if this is not the case for K1KA, it has been a contributing factor to many people struggling with depression.

Regardless of whether K1KA really took her own life or not, let us take a moment to appreciate her contributions to the gaming community.

K1KA began her gaming journey as a semi-professional Counter-Strike player and even attended two events from the HLTV database, namely the Copenhagen Games Female 2018 and 2019. K1KA eventually gave up on playing CS:GO professionally and switched to streaming League of Legends. As a streamer, K1KA had a presence on both Twitch and Trovo.

Hearing of K1KA’s passing is truly saddening. As her relatives said, everyone who struggles with depression should reach out to their close ones and remember that they are not alone.
