Razer to Be Expanding its Esports Events’ Reach to MENA

The Razer Invitational is a multi-game esports event hosted by the globally popular gaming peripherals company Razer. During the wait preceding the tournament, Razer has announced that this year’s iteration of the Razer Invitational will also host an event in the Middle East region.

Razer’s head of esports for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, Yann Salsedo, spoke on the decision. He shared that the gaming peripherals company envisions the Razer Invitational as an all-inclusive tournament for gamers worldwide. The head of esports emphasized that it is important that players from various regions and skill levels receive the same opportunities to play on a professional scale.

True to the words of Salsedo, the Razer Invitational 2021 will be open to players from all skill levels, and everyone will be able to give it a shot. New stars may rise and get rewarded for their effort.

Salsedo believes that adding the Middle East to Razer’s Invitational events is an important step towards raising the next generation of MENA professionals. He believes that Razer Invitational’s varied roster of games will help every player find their niche and become successful in it.

Testing Players’ Mettle Across Four Titles

The Razer Invitational is scheduled for August 8 and will be played online. MENA players will be able to play competitively in one of the following four titles:

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War
  • League of Legends
  • PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Mobile
  • VALORANT

The event will have a total prize pool of $50,000 with numerous peripherals prizes that both players and viewers have a chance to get. Viewers who vote for an MVP of the event will get a shot at those exact Razer prizes. Additionally, the MVPs themselves will earn a monetary prize.

Razer already held an event in North America and is on the way to delivering more events in 2021, with the MENA Invitational being only one of many.
