The sports betting company Parimatch has extended its deal with the Russian esports powerhouse Team Spirit.
Team Spirit and Parimatch Extend Their Agreement
The European international sports betting company Parimatch has reaffirmed its intentions of having a presence in esports by extending its pre-existing deal with the esports organization Team Spirit by one more year.
The continued agreement will have Parimatch and Team Spirit work together on new conjoint activations, such as promotional content for fans and a new merchandise drop. Furthermore, Team Spirit’s Dota 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams will continue donning jerseys with Parimatch’s logo on their front and sleeve.
The relationship between Parimatch and Team Spirit first began in 2018 and slowly developed throughout the years. In that time, both parties grew a lot, with Parimatch covering new markets and Team Spirit rising through the ranks. A few months ago the Ukrainian esports organization managed to win the $40-million The International 10 Dota 2 tournament and to take $18 million home.
Partnering With the Best of the Best
Parimatch is happy to partner with what it considers to be an undisputed leader in esports. The deal is mutually-beneficial as Team Spirit’s partnership has been driving a lot of traffic to Parimatch’s betting platform.
For Stepan Shulga, the head of esports for Parimatch Tech, the agreements with Team Spirit represent “a genuine partnership.”
“We started working even before the legendary roster appeared, even when Dota 2 as a whole was not a priority for “dragons,” Shulga explained.
Nikita Chukalin, the chief executive officer of Team Spirit, is happy to continue the team’s partnership with the European betting operator. Chukalin is thrilled by the prospects of Team Spirit to achieve even bigger victories and is looking forward to sharing them with Parimatch.
“We carefully select companies and brands for potential collaboration,” Chukalin reminded, “Parimatch has established itself as a reliable betting brand that focuses on esports and its development over so many years on the market.”
Chukalin continued by saying that it knows the same applies to Parimatch and that the betting company also carefully selects its partners among the best teams in traditional sports. Team Spirit is honored to be worthy of Parimatch’s recognition.
“We much appreciate our partner’s interest in the growth of our brand and a concern for the promotion of Team Spirit both in the regional and international arena. This is a rare quality on the market today. Thanks to the Parimatch brand for this approach,” Chukalin concluded.
Team Spirit isn’t the only esports team that Parimatch is working with. The gambling operator also has a long history of partnership with the Russian esports organization Virtus.pro. The bookmaker has also been named an official sponsor of the Ukrainian esports federation.
