Esports Veteran Nevzat Ucar Takes Lead as Head of Content at Luckbox

Esports betting platform Luckbox continues its recruitment push with the appointment of Nevzat Ucar as Head of Content. Having worked at Red Bull and Riot Games as a video editor, Ucar is bringing his expertise to spearhead the platform’s content strategy.

Ucar will play to his strengths and be in charge of banging Luckbox’s multi-media strategy in shape, aiming to engage with a global audience in the context of fast-growing demand for esports betting platforms.

Luckbox is aware that connecting with new audiences is essential to its success as an esports betting powerhouse. That is why Ucar is central to steering the company’s marketing endeavors in a way that lead to greater engagement with the esports communities.

Company CEO Quentin Martin expressed confidence in Ucar’s abilities to shape Luckbox’s media identity and added that content marketing is essential to successful player acquisition, growth and overall brand strategy.

Ucar will now be the man behind Luckbox’s future success. Martin spared no praise of the talented video publishing veteran:

“Having someone of Nevzat’s pedigree on board strengthens our marketing team and, importantly, his passion for gaming and esports fits in perfectly with our company ethos”.

The man himself was excited to be joining Luckbox’s staff and said that as a sworn lifelong gamer, he was determined to contribute to what he described as a “compelling” opportunity.

He is now looking into ways to shape not just Luckbox’s own marketing strategy, but also create the rule book for successful engagement with smart esports audiences. Luckbox’s own successes and the recent wave of new appointments is nothing short of spectacular.

The company confirmed Lachlan Thompson as its Head of Performance Marketing in October and in January, the company followed up by appointing Ran Kaspi as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Luckbox experienced a record 500% turnover growth in 2020. The upward trend was largely occasioned by the pandemic that seized the year and brought sports to a grinding halt. This led to an increase in esports betting with traditional sports betting fans migrating to sports simulators, such as EA’s FIFA and NBA2K.

Nevertheless, other games, including Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, League of Legends and Dota 2 also saw a spike in betting interest. According to Martin, Luckbox has locked in 75% of the new gains the company registered during the period.

From our 5 star review…

“In fact, we would argue that Bitcasino’s esports product is one of the best we have experienced. It’s simple, clear-cut, and offers a variety of products and options that other platforms are failing to deliver on.”
