Intema Solutions has successfully acquired an online gaming license for the Isle of Man and will proceed with its Livestream Gaming acquisition.
Intema’s New License Will Help It to Finalize Its Pre-Existing Deal
Intema Solutions, a Canadian esports and iGaming company focused on digital innovation, development and entertainment, has successfully acquired an online gaming license for the Isle of Man.
With a license secured, Intema Solutions will be able to finish its acquisition of Livestream Gaming, the parent company of the esports-oriented bookmaker LOOT.BET. The aforementioned acquisition was first announced in May 2021 when Intema entered talks with its target company. Then, in January 2022, Intema inked a definitive share acquisition deal and paid what is estimated to be $14.75 million. However, before being able to finalize the deal, Intema had to pass all of the regulatory requirements, one of which required it to have an Isle of Man license.
As an esports-oriented company, Intema Solutions is expected to boost Livestream Gaming’s LOOT.BET brand and make it a crucial part of its expansion plans. The latter has a Curaçao gaming license and is a partner of the data and odds provider PandaScore, both of which are extra boons to Intema.
LOOT.BET Is a Key Part of Intema’s Future Plans, CEO Says
Laurent Benezra, the president and chief executive of Intema Solutions, spoke on the importance of the Livestream Gaming acquisition to the company. He said that the deal should be completed very soon after which Intema will pursue further growth:
“We are finally at the last stage of the Livestream acquisition and will be closing the transaction any day now. While the process has taken longer than expected, LOOT.BET is a major online gaming platform and a key part of Intema’s growth plans.
Benezra, who has previously called LOOT.BET “the best online betting platform in the world,” confirmed that the acquisition is expected to dramatically accelerate Intema’s esports and iGaming offerings. He is glad by the opportunity to finalize this deal and open a new chapter for his company.
The agreement is currently expected to close on February 7.
