The Swedish esports tournament platform Challengermode recently announced it is expanding into the LATAR region after signing a deal with Singaporean gaming and esports marketing platform Challengermode will host Season 1 of the YUPCUP, which is a series of esports competitions for players based in Brazil. This will allow newcomers and younger teams and organizations to venture into the competitive world while playing for a total prize pool of over R$40,000 (~ $,7600).

CBDO at Challengermode Philip Hubner, said that he is happy the company is engaging with Brazilian esports alongside “Their dedication to bringing together the disparate parts of the gaming & esports ecosystem together in one place matches our own perfectly,” he said.

Hubner also explained that the new deal will offer players from across Brazil the opportunity to level up their skills. The region has recently been producing many teams for Riot’s games.  “It is the perfect way to shine a spotlight on the country’s emerging esports talent, and invigorate participation at the grassroots level in a professional setting,” he said.

Brazilian players might have difficulties participating in Riot Games tournaments, but the new deal between Challengermode and will definitely help new teams to get their first steps into the world of esports. Yup,gg’s series officially commenced on February 5th with its Street Fighter V competition and is expected to continue until the end of March.
