OpTic and Juventus’ limited merchandise collection is a part of both brand’s ongoing collaboration which started in April.

Clubs Announce Apparel Capsule

Italian Serie A football club Juventus and North American esports organization OpTic have come together to collaborate on a clothing collection merchandise. The project is a part of the broiader collaboration between the two entities which was announced last month. According to a release, they would be looking to “bridge the gap between traditional sports and esports” with a series of activations and collaborative projects.

The current collab is a limited edition capsule that will offer fans various items of clothing and accessories. OpTic and Juventus have bought in the aid of popular German sportswear brand Adidas to help with creating the collection. Recently the clothing brand has been entering the world of esports quite substantially, considering it has barely done so before. The collection will include T-shirts, sweatshirts, and accessories with prints “linked to the gaming universe and the identity of Juventus”.

“The launch of the capsule collection is not the first activity between Juventus and OpTic,” an official statement by Juventus states. “At the beginning of April, the creators of Optic Gaming – Seth “Scump” Abner, Hector “H3CZ” Rodriguez, Anthony “Methodz” Zinni, and Davis “Hitch” Edwards landed in Turin from Texas and “were guests at the club’s facilities.” There, the four of them met First Team players Weston McKennie and Fabio Miretti, with whom they recorded exclusive content. “Furthermore, they attended the Serie A match between Juventus and Fiorentina, played at the Allianz Stadium, which the Bianconeri won 1-0,” the sports club’s article further states.

The partnership between Juventus and OpTic follows a trend that we’ve been seeing over the past few years where esports and football clubs come together to bridge the gap between the two. French football club Paris-Saint Germain, for example,
