Bybit Expands Clout in Esports with VP
After signing a buffet of esports partnerships in just a few days, Bybit is once again looking to expand its presence in the competitive gaming space by adding Virtus.pro to its portfolio. The Russian esports organization has confirmed that Bybit has signed a multi-year agreement that will feature the exchange's logo on VP players' jerseys.
Signage will be visible across Virtus.pro's social media channels as well as the dedicated Bearloga app. The duo will work on a variety of community initiatives designed to boost awareness for their respective world. Bybit will specifically want to involve Virtus.pro fans with NFTs, cryptocurrency, and even investment opportunities.
Similar to the already signed partnerships with Alliance, Natus Vincere and Astralis, VP players will join Bybit's global trading tournament, based on the World Series of Poker, and named the World Series of Trading (WOST).
Esports Players and Fans Are Receptive to New Tech
The company is keen on expanding its presence in esports as it believes that the target audience is open to new technologies and the products that are listed and available through Bybit. VP CEO Sergey Glamazda had this to say in a statement:
“Despite their fast growth and the fact that everyone is talking about it, a lot of people may still find it complicated and not easy to understand. That is where our goals with Bybit are aligned: we are constantly improving and trying to make what we do best as simple as possible to understand for the audience.”
Bybit has been investing in some of the leading teams. Astralis is currently one of the highest-ranking squads in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Natus Vincere is one of the oldest and arguably best-known organizations in esports and specifically the CIS region.
The addition of VP as a partner allows Bybit to reach out to more fans from across Rainbow Six Siege, PlayerUnknown's Battleground and Dota 2, to name a few.
