  • The game’s next season arrives next week on October 10
  • With it come a lot of new cosmetics as well as a crossover with Diablo IV
  • Several champions will also be hit with big nerfs

Overwatch 2’s Season 7 will introduce tons of new events and cosmetic items, including skins for the likes of Moira, Wrecking Ball, and Hanzo, as well as a big crossover with Diablo IV.

New Things Coming with Season 7

In recent months, Blizzard has been trying to go back to the once-rich and prosperous early times of Overwatch by dropping big content updates. Such was the case in August when the company released what is arguably the biggest-ever content package that Overwatch 2 has ever received. This has set certain expectations that would be hard to meet in future updates of the game, but considering Season 7 is almost here, Blizzard will still have to try.

This time, the company is preparing a big crossover with one of its other titles, in this case, Diablo IV, which will introduce new events and skins for characters like Moira, Wrecking Ball, and more. Furthermore, Season 7 will also bring other cosmetics, as well as a lot of balance tweaks. Among these will be significant nerfs to heroes like Orisa, Mei, and others.

Overwatch 2 Season 7: Rise of Darkness, as the update is called, will start next week, Tuesday, October 10. If you want to try it out right at the very start, you can find at what local time the season begins:

  • 23:45 IST (Indian Standard Time)
  • 11:15 PT (Pacific Time)
  • 21:15 GMT (Greenwich Mean Time)
  • 20:15 CEST (Central European Summer Time)
  • 16:15 ET (Eastern Time)
  • 13:00 CT (Central Time)

Overwatch 2 will also have a new map that comes with the arrival of its new season. Blizzard revealed the map called Samoa at the end of the Overwatch League Grand Finals 2023. It’s going to be a control map, a game mode that’s quite liked by fans, and will feature diverse points, making players adapt their strategies.

Blizzard is still revealing more information about what cosmetics the new season will introduce but one we already know about is a new Hanzo Mythic Skin. This means that the famous archer will join his brother Genji and their old friend Kiriko as a Mythic skin recipient. The cosmetic is called Onryō Hanzo and unlike the last two Mythic skins for Tracer and Ana, this one won’t unlock in stages. Instead, players will have to reach tier 80 of the Season 7 Premium Battle Pass to unlock it.

Blizzard will likely reveal more information in the coming days before the start of Season 7, so make sure to follow to keep up to date.

“In fact, we would argue that Bitcasino’s esports product is one of the best we have experienced. It’s simple, clear-cut, and offers a variety of products and options that other platforms are failing to deliver on.”
