The SteelSeries Prime Invitational is an upcoming Apex Legends tournament that will see the best 20 ANZ and APAC teams compete during the Easter weekend.

SteelSeries Will Host a $10,000 Apex Legends Tournament

SteelSeries, a Danish manufacturer of gaming peripherals, will host an invitational Apex Legends tournament to celebrate the Easter Holidays in Australia, New Zealand, and Asia Pacific.

The so-called SteelSeries Prime Invitational will take place between April 16 and 17 and will have a prize pool of $10,000 reserved for the top players. The five best teams will win a share of the monetary prize. Here is how SteelSeries plans to distribute the prize pool:

  • 1st place – $5,000
  • 2nd place – $2,500
  • 3rd place – $1,250
  • 4th place – $750
  • 5th place -$500

The event is scheduled to begin at 3 pm AEST and will add up to the festivities in the region. The action will be broadcast live on SteelSeries’ official Twitch channel. Famous casters such as James “Jamerson” Lee and Rafael “DiA” Ruiz will analyze the action and provide fans with their insightful input.

The Top 20 Regional Teams Will Be Invited

A total of 20 teams will be invited to the SteelSeries Prime Invitational. This will include exclusively regional teams based in Australia, New Zealand, or Asia Pacific. The esports news outlet DotEsports reported that fifteen teams have been invited to the event. It confirmed that the following few are sure to make an appearance:

Australia and New Zealand:

  • Antiaa
  • BRP
  • Burger
  • BWS
  • DML
  • Phantom
  • SNG
  • We Are Trash
  • WHIZ

Asia Pacific:

  • EXO Clan
  • MBT Naga
  • Team ANT
  • Primis Komanda

Analysts predict that other notable local teams, such as Reignite and Sutoraiku are also expected to be invited to the event. The tournament will not only engage the audience during the Easter festivities but will also provide the teams with a chance to warm up before the ALGS Split 2 Playoffs.
