Esports Middle East to Help Moonton Host a League in MENA

Moonton has teamed up with the esports event organizer Esports Middle East to host a Mobile Legends: Bang Bang league in the Middle East and North Africa region. The event organizer will offer its AI esports league platform, Arab Esports, for the event.

Esports Middle East is one of the pioneers in the MENA esports market. The company was founded in 2014 and is behind the first Arabic esports news portal. Esports Middle East has partnered with some of the biggest game developers and gaming brands to host many of the exciting competitions in the Middle East. While international tournaments in MENA remain a controversial topic, the local esports scene is steadily growing.

The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League MENA will begin with open qualifiers which all regional teams can join. The league will then continue with two seasonal splits that will continue for approximately six months.

The winner of the event will grab the lion’s share of the $200,000 prize pool and will qualify for the MLBB World Championship.

Zacky Dong, Moonton’s marketing director, spoke about the upcoming competition. He revealed that bringing esports to athletes and fans from all around the world has always been a core philosophy of his company. Dong added that he is looking forward to the MENA league:

“We are very glad to include the MENA region in the MLBB Professional League alongside our partner ESME this year. We believe that the viewers can expect a mesmerizing esports experience across the biggest broadcast streaming platforms with various surprises in store.”

Saeed Sharaf, Esports Middle East’s founder and chief executive, is delighted to join forces with Moonton and bring more esports excitement to fans of mobile gaming. Sharaf emphasized that mobile gaming is very popular in the MENA region which is why he has no doubts the local MLBB League will prove to be a success.

“With over 400 million unique mobile users in the Middle East and North Africa, we’re certain that mobile esports is the future for the area, thanks to its accessibility and the dedication of a well-known publisher like Moonton.”

It will be interesting to follow the development of the MENA region and the growth of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang as one of the staples in mobile gaming.
