Compete.gg will be the new name of HypeX.gg as the company decided to rebrand to something more suitable to its business.

HypeX.gg Will Be Rebranded to Compete.gg

HypeX.gg, an esports event organizer owned by React Gaming (formerly Intema), will get rebranded to Compete.gg to better reflect its new focus. The company has decided to double down on hosting events with monetary prizes and believes the new name will better represent what it stands for.

The rebranding comes weeks after Intema acquired the esports betting operator Loot.bet and changed its name to React Gaming. The company plans to expand its operations in betting and esports.

Compete.gg is one of React Gaming’s brands and is a platform that allows players to join esports events and be rewarded for their performance. People can also partake in 1v1 betting and take their engagement even further.

Laurent Benezra, president and chief executive of React Gaming, said that rebranding HypeX.gg to Compete.gg seemed like a sensible move to better represent the brand and help it gain traction. Speaking about the platform, Benezra said:

“Gamers using Compete’s unique esports tournament platform will greatly benefit from its engaging, supportive, community-driven functionalities coupled with stat aggregation tracking, easy-to-read dashboards, strong anti-cheat measures and cash rewards with fast payouts.

The CEO added that he plans to host collaborative marketing initiatives between Compete.gg and the rest of React Gaming’s subsidiaries, including Team Bloodhounds, Parabellum and Loot.Bet.

Compete.gg Opens a New Chapter for the Brand

Ty Root, the chief executive officer of Compete.gg, added that the brand’s goal has always been to provide a safe and secure platform where players from all over the world can play and be rewarded for their successes.

Root said that the platform’s new name and refreshed look signify a new chapter for the company as it looks to provide its community with “the absolute best, which includes new tournaments, the best customer service experience, great sponsorships and relevant social media content.”

“Compete.gg will be the premier destination for competitive esports tournaments, and we feel that this new name and enhanced look better reflects who we are, and what we offer.”

React Gaming, formerly known as Intema, finalized the acquisition of Loot.Bet in February when it also acquired a license to operate in the Isle of Man.

“In fact, we would argue that Bitcasino’s esports product is one of the best we have experienced. It’s simple, clear-cut, and offers a variety of products and options that other platforms are failing to deliver on.”
