  • Halo Infinite’s new season drops on May 3 under the name “Lone Wolves”
  • 343 Industries explained it has learned a lot from fans’ feedback during Season 1 of Infinite
  • It will include new maps, game modes, and a potentially revamped Battle Pass

343 Industries released a report on what they have learned during Halo Infinite’s first season and updated fans on what to expect in the coming months.

343 Promises to Redeem Itself with Season 2

The past few months have not been kind to Halo Infinite. Players are increasingly frustrated by the lack of content and 343 Industries’ yet unfulfilled promises. However, Halo fans’ hope has yet again risen as the studio recently released an Outcomes Report, listing what 343 learned in the past few months, and outlining their future goals.

“Since the launch of Halo Infinite, we’ve been paying close attention to community feedback, addressing what we can in a timely manner,” reads the update. The team promises a new battle pass, maps, modes, and more to come with the start of Season 2 that’s set to launch on May 3.

New Battle Pass

There is still not much information about it, but the new battle pass is expected to have 100-tiers packed with all kinds of different cosmetic rewards.

One of the issues players have had with Infinite is the lack of in-game credits, that can be earned through playing and used to unlock new cosmetics. 343 is now planning to implement the ability to earn in-game credits players can use to earn back a share of what they paid.

New Maps Are Coming to Infinite

Another frustrating point fans complained about is the limited number of maps Infinite has. The game had only three Big-Team-Battle maps at launch, and about half a dozen for the 4v4 Arena/Ranked game modes.

This is about to change as 343 announced it will release a new BTB map called Breaker, which seems to have a desert theme to it. A second map by the name of Catalyst is being released for Arena games. It is set to enter “multiple playlists” on day one, so players should expect to see a lot of it.

Season 2 Game Modes

The developers are also bringing three new modes, one of which is a fan favorite. This is King of the Hill, where players have to hold a point for the longest time. It will be played in both a Free-For-All mode or Team vs. Team mode.

The second is Last Spartan Standing, which they described as a “free-for-all elimination mode.” Land Grab is the final mode coming to Infinite’s second season. It’s a mixture of King of the Hill and another classic mode, Territories. Players will compete over the possession of five plots of land scattered across the map that cannot be re-captured.

Additionally, there are rumors that Attrition will be back in Season 2. The game mode had a brief stint close to launch and it seems it might become a staple in the next major update.

Lastly, 343 detailed a lot of other changes coming to Infinite. The studio addressed the large number of cheaters that have been plaguing the game for months, saying it is working on better anti-cheat systems and better matchmaking.

There are also a ton of changes envisioned for sandbox, vehicles, and weapon rebalancing, all of which can be read more in detail on Halo Waypoint’s official blog post.

From our 5 star review…

“In fact, we would argue that Bitcasino’s esports product is one of the best we have experienced. It’s simple, clear-cut, and offers a variety of products and options that other platforms are failing to deliver on.”
