Halo Infinite Players Already Spot Cheaters Roaming About

in Gaming
November 19, 2021
  • A Halo Infinite player has already spotted a cheater, as reported by Wicked Good Gaming
  • From gameplay footage, it becomes clear that the cheater is using some forms of wallhacks and aim aid
  • Players are concerned about the prospects of cheaters flooding the new game so early on

Cheaters are already getting spotted in Halo Infinite, sparking concerns about the game before it has even been fully released.

Halo Infinite Gets Its First Taste of Cheats

Halo Infinite was one of the most anticipated first-person shooter video games ever. As a sign of goodwill to the fans and a way to celebrate Xbox’s 20th anniversary, the game released an early build on November 15. Despite the full game being about a month away, this early access allows players to experience several multiplayer modes. Even better, the progress players make within this early period will carry on when the full game is released.

However, with the multiplayer being free-to-play, one of the most notorious demographics surrounding free titles has already found its way into the game – cheaters. Unfortunate as this may be, let’s take a look at what the community unveiled.

The gaming, esports and streamers news outlet Wicked Good Gaming has shared gameplay footage provided by ZlepOfficial, a VALORANT player who is now testing his skill in HALO Infinite.

ZlepOfficial was suspicious of something fishy happening and watched footage of the game after its end. There he found out that one player was pre-shooting, suggesting that he’s using wallhacks to accurately track his opponents. On top of this, the aim of the player in question seemed nigh perfect.

The Community Is Concerned About the Game’s Multiplayer Future

The footage confirms many people’s fears. On November 17, community member dN Street had shared his conviction that Halo Infinite will quickly be plagued by hackers. The player believes that Halo Infinite is going to have a severer issue with cheaters than any other title before it.

“Invite cheats are going public, they are not pricey and trust there will be tons of blatant cheating on Halo Infinite,” they said.

I give Halo about a week before blatant cheating is the worse it has ever been on Halo in the history of Halo. Invite cheats are going public they are not pricey and trust there will be tons of blatant cheating on Halo Infinite.

Having cheaters so early in a game’s lifespan is definitely concerning and seems like a bad omen. With some of Halo’s competitors struggling with cheaters for years, fans of the Halo franchise shudder to imagine the new entry getting ruined.

Luckily, the full game releases on December 8, which gives the developers, 343 Industries, ample time to evaluate the data from the early release and work on a fix before the final launch.
