- Esports Arena has dominated its opponents at the NA ALGS Pro League

Esports Arena seems to be stronger than ever as it crushed its competition during the first day of the NA ALGS Pro League Split 2.
ESA Set a New Record
The professional Apex legends team Esports Arena (ESA) dominated its opponents during the first day of the NA ALGS Pro League Split 2, setting a new record throughout the event. The team won four of the six games it participated in and earned 123 points – a far shot from the previous Pro League tournament day record of 97 points.
ESA is widely renowned as a top team in competitive Apex Legends. However, after the organization recently parted ways with Evan “Verhulst” Verhulst, many expected the team’s performance to decline. The team has now proven the contrary.
ESA got third Place in the Pro League Split 1 Playoffs and has performed even better in the current Split, scoring 65 kills in a single day like it is nothing. The team had its first three games on Storm Point and concluded with three matches on World’s Edge.
Storm Point Saw the Rise of ESA
ESA performed well since game one but was outshined by its competitors from Cloud9. The latter team grabbed all the glory as it skillfully outplayed its competition. Mac “Albralelie” Beckwith played a key role in this victory, demonstrating an amazing play with Gibraltar. He mowed down Cloud9’s enemies using the Mastiff shotgun and the Charge Rifle.
ESA’s rise began in the second game where Cloud9’s confidence spelled an early doom for the team. 100 Thieves got a position atop the Barometer but was eventually forced to move out because of a Valkyrie ultimate attack. In the end, the team got into a fight with CLG, which benefitted none of the two teams and helped ESA grab the victory.
The third game saw Valkyrie’s ultimate move come into play once again as ESA used it to secure a defensible position. Atlanta Premier tried to deny ESA the strategic spot but soon realized its mistake and got defeated. The battle carried on to the hill outside Storm Catcher where ESA crushed Team Liquid, finishing the game with 16 kills and 28 points.
ESA Kept Its Momentum on World’s Edge
The fourth game is what really cemented Esports Arena’s advantage. Despite moving to a new map, the team was quick to adapt and easily reached the climax of the game outside the Dome. William “SkittleCakes” August had cleverly picked Caustic whose abilities and weapons helped ESA secure good area control. In the end, the team won its third victory and earned its 86th point.
At the beginning of the fifth game, ESA had more than twice the score of CLG, which placed second. However, it was not quite finished yet. 100 Thieves, NRG and Cloud9 each hoped they would deny Esports Arena a fourth win in a row, but the latter team crushed those dreams one by one. NRG got eliminated first with 100 Thieves being the last to fall under ESA’s push.
ESA would have won the fifth game in a row but was eventually outplayed once again as Team Liquid’s stalwart composure helped it to defeat the reigning champions and earn a single map.
The ALGS Pro League Faces Some Delays
The North American competition was delayed for two weeks because of the war in Ukraine. Since the combat erupted, many esports leagues and organizations have been shocked. Not only did the invasion cost the lives of thousands of innocents but it also affected the world of professional gaming.
As of now, the EMEA ALGS Pro League continues to be on an extended break.
