Asmongold, the famous World of Warcraft streamer, sends Blizzard a cheeky application to join the company’s WoW Community Council but receives an interesting reply.

Asmongold Explains Why He’s Been Absent Online Recently

When it comes to big names regarding World of Warcraft streaming, Asmongold quickly comes to mind. Unfortunately, lately he has had a rather scarce presence on Twitch due to family issues, including the loss of his mother. Unfortunately, his mother’s health took a turn for the worse and she recently passed away. Because of this, Asmongold took a short break.

On November 4 he posted a video on YouTube where he briefly explained the situation, saying it prompted him to be “less of an a**hole” on Twitch. He also said he will be returning to the platform sometime in the near future.

Meanwhile, Asmongold has been busy and decided to apply for World of Warcraft’s new WoW Community Council. He posted a video on YouTube on November 8 regarding his experience, however, it seems that no one in Blizzard particularly liked his snarky application.

Asmongold Applies for WoW’s Community Council

By this point, many players have seen that Blizzard has been involved in a series of controversies concerning workplace sexual misconduct. Ever since the first accusations and evidence for this surfaced earlier this year, Blizzard has been desperately trying to redeem itself.

One such way the company is trying to clear its name and prevent any potential future negative stunts is the Community Council. Blizzard describes its new endeavor in their November 1 blog as “another venue for communication between players and WoW developers”. The post also states that any player interested in the program can apply.

Asmongold said he applied and wanted to share this with his viewers. “Honestly, I wasn’t sure I was going to apply for this until I just Torghast Adamant Vaults and, out of the three pairs of golden shoulder transmogs that are supposed to drop, I got a duplicate.” he explained.

He then checks his email on stream and shares the bizarre response: “Your support status ticket has been changed to resolved. A game master has resolved your ticket and left you the following response: no response posted.”

He said in jest to his friend that his application was so important that the staff had to escalate his application up to the executives. “it was just so good that they wanted to make sure that they were able to give me the proper invitation, and not scare me off or make me not take it seriously,” he said jokingly.

It is unclear what exactly the Community Council will achieve, or how it plans to do it, but it seems odd that Blizzard would not respond to even one of the biggest WOW streamers.

Check out Bitcasino for the best bonuses

From our 5 star review…

“In fact, we would argue that Bitcasino’s esports product is one of the best we have experienced. It’s simple, clear-cut, and offers a variety of products and options that other platforms are failing to deliver on.”
