Electronic Arts have unveiled the twelve teams that will become partners of the Apex Legends Global Series for next year.

EA Announces Partners

Partnerships with various teams are crucial for most esports and Apex Legends is no exception to that. The Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) is by far the highest tier of Apex competition and pro teams have been an integral part of its success since its inception in 2020.

This is why every year Electronic Arts provides a program that allows chosen organizations to receive financial support as well as unique opportunities to engage with their communities. This in turn has a very strong effect on the growth of the entire competitive Apex Legends ecosystem, making the partnership program crucial for the development of the esports scene. This is why earlier today EA revealed its partnership program for Year 4 of the ALGS.

Alliance, DarkZero, Disguised, FaZe Clan, Fnatic, FURIA, LG Chivas, Moist Esports, OpTic Gaming, Riddle, TSM, and XSET are the twelve teams that have been chosen to receive the coveted partner status. According to EA’s official statement, the organizations will be provided with a financial stipend in order to help them establish a stable base on which to build their competitive programs.

“This year, we ran an application process for a number of notable organizations currently in, or interested in, the ALGS. The 12 teams ultimately selected were chosen based on a number of factors, including their commitment to the ALGS ecosystem, past competitive performance, and their overall willingness to continue partnering with us in new and interesting ways to grow the ALGS,” the statement reads.

What Else Does the Program Give?

EA explained that aside from financial support, the company will also provide additional media and content opportunities, including media training, interviews with press and media, and others, which will help teams grow their outreach. Additionally, the partnership is also a great way for EA to receive feedback from esports organizations to help shape the future of Apex Legends’ esports landscape.

Sr. Director and Commissioner for the ALGS John Nelson commented on the importance of the partnership program for Year 4. “Our competitors and participating esports organizations are foundational to our success. We’re excited to innovate with our 12 partner teams to find new paths to prosperity,” he said. “We also remain committed to working with all invested organizations around the world to build a sustainable ecosystem and deliver amazing experiences to our fans.”

Fans will be able to see the fruits of this program when the ALGS Pro League returns the weekend of January 20-21, 2024.
