Apex Legends Mobile Pre-registration Is Now Open Worldwide

in Gaming
March 18, 2022
  • The game is finally ready to roll out worldwide
  • Apex Legends Mobile built up from the ground and features many aspects of its PC counterpart
  • It is hoped the game will surpass PUBG Mobile’s success

The mobile version of Apex Legends is now ready for pre-registration on all Android devices in most parts of the world.

EA Opens Pre-registration

Ever since it was announced at an investor call in 2020, EA has been teasing fans with a potential mobile version of Apex Legends. Following a series of closed regional beta test in May last year, as well as a limited launch in February 2022, it seems that the company is getting ready for Apex Legends to start rolling out worldwide.

EA and Respawn Entertainment announced yesterday that Apex Legends Mobile pre-registration is now available to players worldwide. There are some exceptions, however, notably China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau, Russia, and Belarus. Currently, the game is live only on Android devices, with iOS expected “soon.”

Get ready to be legendary with Apex Legends Mobile. New events. New limited-time modes. New trailer featuring high-octane, squad-based action.

Apex Legends Mobile is based on the extremely popular 2019 free-to-play battle royale hero shooter for PC. With streamlined controls and optimized content, the mobile version of the game will feature fan-favorite Legends, abilities, and locations alongside new mobile-only maps, gameplay modes, and other unique content

Players wanting to pre-register need to visit the game’s official website. They will be able to collect exclusive cosmetics, including an Epic skin for Bloodhound if at least 10 million players participate. New registers will receive their rewards in-game mailbox in the months ahead after the release of the game.

A New Opponent on the Horizon

Mobile gaming is getting more and more popular. With new mobile leagues being launched left and right, EA seems to try and capitalize on this new trend. The company is pouring its hopes into the success of Apex's mobile version.

The mobile port is being handled by Lightspeed and Quantum Studios, the same folks that helped Krafton make PUBG Mobile. Speaking of PUBG Mobile, it seems that Apex is will try to surpass PUBG’s success. Interestingly, although differing in setting, gameplay, and other features, both games are produced by the same Tencent-owned studio – Lightspeed & Quantum Studios. Perhaps this is LQS’s way to outdo itself.

Despite already having a score of 4.2 in the Google App Store and over 7.5 million newly registered players, it’s still early to say if Apex Legends Mobile will carry on the torch from PUBG Mobile as Lightspeed & Quantum Studios’ flagship.
