G2 Esports has managed to secure Jankos, one of the most capable junglers, by extending his contract by two more years.
“The First Blood King is Here to Stay”
The esports organization G2 Esports has solemnly announced that it has extended the contract of the famous League of Legends athlete Marcin “Jankos” Jankowski by two years. Although G2 had an unexciting 2021 season, the team is glad to be able to secure one of its most able players.
Jankos is a professional jungler of Polish origin and is considered to be one of the best players out there. So far he’s been loyal to G2 Esports and has played with the team since 2018 – more than any of the other players in its current roster.
For the new competitive season, G2 Esports will welcome several new players. Because of this, Jankos will have the responsible task of guiding them and helping them get accustomed to the new organization. As someone who has skills in abundance, Jankos will be a great role model for the new players.
G2 Will Keep Moving Forward
G2 Esports has been considered as one of the top organizations in the professional League of Legends. Many believed that its team was well-poised to win the European championship and reach the top spots of Worlds. At the time, G2 had just acquired the Swedish player Martin “Rekkles” Larsson and was set up for success.
In reality, G2 Esports didn’t manage to live up to the high expectations fans had for it. The organization failed to replicate the success it had in the past. G2’s light was dulled and the team was eventually outshined by its competitors.
However, G2 Esports’ journey is far from over. The organization is ready to learn from its mistakes and continue pushing forward. Securing Jankos is a key factor for the team’s future success. With his flawless jungle play, Jankos managed to score the highest number of kills among the European junglers.
Hopefully, Jankos’ fame will inspire the new players to also become just as good so that G2 Esports’ star may rise once again.
The competitive League of Legends action will soon begin anew. European fans should stay tuned for the beginning of the LEC Spring Split on January 14.
