- FunPlus Phoenix has signed Ardis “ardiis” Svarenieks as a permanent member of its roster

- He is a fairly new player who has already demonstrated a lot of skill in the ranks of G2 Esports
FunPlus Phoenix has finalized its VALORANT roster by adding Ardis “ardiis” Svarenieks as a permanent player.
Ardiis Officially Joins the Organization
The esports organization FunPlus Phoenix has completed its VALORANT roster by signing the Latvian elite Ardis “ardiis” Svarenieks to the squad. This will have ardiis return to playing professionally after sitting on Team Heretics’ bench because of health problems he was experiencing.
Ardiis is already a familiar face among the FunPlus Phoenix ranks and has played with the team as a temporary player for over a month. His dedication and savvy for the game, however, have now earned him a permanent spot under FunPlus’ banner.
The Latvian esports athlete joined the professional VALORANT scene in early 2020, first playing for the independent esports team fish 123. After a few months with fish 123, ardiis was replaced by Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom and eventually joined G2 Esports.
As a part of G2 Esports, ardiis proved his talents by helping the team score victories at several prestigious esports events, including the BLAST Twitch Invitational 2020, the WePlay Invitational 2020 and the Red Bull Home Ground One in early 2021. Despite his contribution, ardiis was eventually replaced and left G2 Esports in June this year.
FunPlus Phoenix Heads to 2022 With a Full Roster
FunPlus Phoenix had an unimpressive performance during the playoffs of the VCT EMEA Stage 3 Challengers Playoffs, which led the organization to make some changes to its VALORANT roster. Those changes included removing Dmitriy “dimasick” Matvienko and Tobias “ShadoW” Flodström from the team and eventually signing Dmitry “SUYGETSU” Ilyushin to replace one of the two.
As ardiis has joined the team as a permanent player, all of the empty slots have been filled and FunPlus Phoenix is ready to enter the 2022 VALORANT competitive season. The Chinese organization’s roster is currently comprised of the following members:
- Kirill “ANGE1” Karasiow
- Andrey “Shao” Kiprsky
- Pontus “Zyppan” Eek
- Dmitry “SUYGETSU” Ilyushin
- Ardis “ardiis” Svarenieks
Since FunPlus Phoenix doesn’t have a professional game scheduled for the upcoming few days, the athletes will have enough time to work on their synergy with the two new players.
