  • FaZe brings Grace Van Dien, known as Chrissy Cunningham from season four, as a creator
  • The 26-year-old star wants to bring more female influence to the streaming sphere
  • However, many fans say the signing is part of a cover-up for FaZe Rain’s recent allegations

FaZe Clan is well-known for signing popular stars as content creators, and Grace Van Dien’s contract is no different, although some fans criticized the organization’s recent alleged mismanagements.

FaZe Brings Stranger Things Actress On Board

Esports organizations are no exception to acquiring different talents to promote their branding in a new way, and FaZe Clan is no exception to that. The organization, which is well-known for its achievements in many competitive games, also has a large roster of content creators who stream a variety of games under the brand’s name.

FaZe has already collaborated with popular faces like Drake and Travis Scott, Fortnite streamer Ninja, and even got Chris Rock and Adam Sandler to do a podcast interview with its creators. The organization even managed to get Snoop Dogg on the board of directors, although the rapper left FaZe last month

However, this has not discouraged the organization from reaching out to other celebrities and bringing them into its fold. Most recently. FaZe has announced the signing of actress Grace Van Dien, also known as bluefille on Twitch and as Chrissy Cunningham in Stranger Things season four.

In the announcement video posted on FaZe’s Twitter account, the 26-year-old actress recounted when she started streaming on Twitch to only 20 to 40 viewers, yet still managed to enjoy it while playing games like VALORANT and Among Us. She also mentioned her father, Starship Troopers star Casper Van Dien, was a huge influence in her liking video games.

What Are Van Dien’s Plans?

The actress joked that she would bring more “estrogen” to FaZe. She explained that it’s important to have more female representation in a male-dominated industry like gaming. Van Dien explained that she wants to do something that mattered and she plans to use the opportunity given by FaZe to bring more representation to the gaming and streaming space. The young actress will be just the second female streamer in the organization’s roster, along with Call of Duty star Kalei Renay.

Fans’ reception, however, seemed a bit mixed. On the one hand, many of Van Dien’s Twitch and Twitter followers congratulated her on her new contract. On the other hand, many used the announcement as a chance to criticize FaZe Clan’s management following Nordan “FaZe Rain” Shat’s recent allegations. According to him, the organization didn’t pay its original creators fairly, while allegedly dishing out millions to pay its high-profile creators

It’s obviously not known if FaZe’s reasoning for signing a high-profile star like Van Dien is all part of a cover-up, but many fans argue that this is indeed the case. Nevertheless, the Stranger Things star seems to be happy to now be a part of the organization.
