  • Excel Esports has unveiled its new VALORANT roster
  • Several new esports athletes from various nationalities will be joining the team as it seeks to get more competitive
  • Excel Esports has so-far crushed its opposition during the first few rounds of the VCT Europe: Stage 1 Challengers open qualifier.

Excel Esports has unveiled its new VALORANT team, comprised of international pro players. The organization has since scored two competitive victories – one against Ignisoul Gaming and one against Bifrost.

Excel Esports’ New VALORANT Roster

The British esports organization Excel Esports has announced its lineup for the new VALORANT Champions Tour season. The team had to leave the November finals because it lacked a full roster and has now addressed this issue.

Here is what Excel’s new VALORANT squad will look like:

The former Fnatic member Muhammad “Moe40” Hariff will remain under Excel’s banner. He’s been with the British team ever since June 2021 and has quickly cemented a position among Excel’s ranks.

Several new players will be joining the team. Those include the likes of the Serbian athlete Dragan “elllement” Milanović, the Russian elite Egor “chiwawa” Stepanyuk, the British pro Oscar “ozzy” Scott and the Polish former CS:GO star Patryk “paTiTek” Fabrowski.

The retired Swedish CS:GO Jimmy “Jumpy” Berndtsson and the British coach Sam “Fields” Greenfield will remain as Excel Esports’ head coach and assistant coach respectively.

Kevin “Noizeeh” Jaskiewicz will continue being the team’s manager.

Excel Gets Serious With VALORANT

As is the case with many teams, Excel’s roster changes come as a result of the team’s suboptimal performance in the 2021 VCT season. The organization was never too deeply involved in VALORANT esports but managed to win second place during the Spring Qualifiers of the VALORANT Open Tour: France.

Yet, despite gaining some momentum, Excel Esports had to forfeit its position in the November finals as by that point it had lost some players and couldn’t continue competing.

Excel’s decision to hire an international team of first-person shooter veterans, some of which have played for other professional teams, attests to the organization’s interest in asserting itself in VALORANT esports as a serious competitor.

To illustrate the team’s newfound motivation, yesterday Excel Esports’ new players had their first competitive matches of the year against the members of Ignisoul Gaming and Bifrost. Excel ended up winning by a landslide, finishing both games with a 2:0 result.

The team’s next game is in a few hours where Excel will play against Zerance
