ESL Gaming and Norton sign a cybersecurity partnership for the rest of the year that will see the latter protect the integrity of ESL’s upcoming events.
ESL and Norton Join Forces
German esports organizer and production company ESL Gaming has announced a partnership agreement with the reputable anti-malware software company Norton. The deal will have Norton officialized as the cyber safety partner for the ESL Pro Tour events in Warcraft III and StarCraft II.
The partnership will have Norton help with the security of the DreamHack SC2 Masters Winter 2021 and DreamHack WC3 Championship 2021.
The deal covers the rest of 2021. Other than putting Norton as the official cybersecurity partner of ESL Gaming’s events, the agreement will see the two parties collaborate on various activations, such as broadcast giveaways, social media posts, and special streams on the Norton Gaming Twitch channel.
The partnership will work to inspire all fans of gaming, professionals and casuals alike, to take more care with their personal cyber safety, especially when playing online multiplayer games.
Hand in Hand to Promote Safe Gaming
This isn’t the first time Norton and ESL have banded together. The Director of ESL Gaming and ESL Pro Tour, Shaun Clark, commented that the fans’ overwhelming positivity in regards to Norton Gaming during the latest ESL events is what inspired the organizer to double down on the collaboration with Norton.
Clark spoke on behalf of the whole of ESL Gaming when he said that the event organizer is happy to continue its good relations with Norton for the rest of the year.
“We are thrilled to welcome Norton Gaming to the ESL family. Working together with a brand that is already a fan of the games, their communities and our tournaments is perfect,” Clark explained.
ESL Gaming is one of the biggest esports event organizers in the world. The company is responsible for various events in multiple esports across various regions. Just in 2021 ESL has hosted events in Asia, Europe, Oceania, and the Americas.
As such a big name in esports, it’s ESL’s responsibility to teach players how to better protect their privacy and data. This is why the partnership with Norton is an important step for the organizer.
