The Belgian esports organization HEET has been undergoing a series of financial troubles that have culminated in all of their players deciding to leave of their own volition.

All Players Leave HEET

HEET’s entire CS:GO ensemble will be looking for a new organization to play under, 23-year-old player Pierre “⁠Ex3rcice⁠” Bulinge announced on Twitter. The players part ways with the Belgian organization mainly due to the latter’s financial struggle. Despite that, the roster plans to stick together for the time being and compete under the Looking4Org banner while they search for a new home. 

The team’s manager, Vivien “⁠GoY⁠” Goyon, shed more light on the situation on Monday. He explained in a press conference that both Thomas “⁠Djoko⁠” Pavoni and Lucas “⁠Lucky⁠” Chastang have already terminated their contracts with HEET. Meanwhile, Bryan “⁠Maka⁠” Canda and Ex3rcice are expected to do so soon. 

This roster departure puts HEET temporarily, if not even permanently, out of the professional CS:GO sphere, which the organization entered in early 2022 by signing the DBL PONEY roster headlined by Alexandre “⁠bodyy⁠” Pianaro. The squad was contracted for two years according to the manager, despite being unsure of whether they had enough capital to support the operation for more than one.

However, in summer of last year, the team saw its first player depart in order to make room for Audric “⁠JACKZ⁠” Jug. The transfer was made while the organization was already under financial strain. However, five months later, the new player was benched. He had paid a part of his own buyout from G2 with assurances of being eventually compensated by HEET, but they are yet to reimburse the French rifler for the transfer fee and for several months of salary, according to the press release.

In early 2023, the team reformed as Bryan “⁠Maka⁠” Canda was added to the team and Lucky returned to the active roster. Despite the team’s newfound hopes of performing better, HEET parted ways with head coach Matthieu “⁠matHEND⁠” Roquigny in February. The 28-year-old coach left the organization of his own volition, adding to the woes that HEET was already experiencing. 

HEET managed to float just above the surface in the following months, even winning the CCT Central Europe Series 6 thanks to Ali “⁠hAdji⁠” Haïnouss, whom the team added in April. However, it seems that HEET’s future in professional CS:GO is in serious peril, considering all evidence points toward the org not being able to support an active roster. HEET has not yet officially commented on the departure of all its players.
